pre-owned vintage 1964-MATTEL SKOOTER: 2-pc. SWIMSUIT set/BOWS/STAND/red SHOES
Please check the COST of AIRMAIL SHIPPING with TRACKING listed below the description before placing a bid….this is a vintage, 1963-Mattel brown-eyed, brunette-colored hair, straight legged 9″-SKOOTER doll that is in generally good, clean condition and, overall, she shows little handling on her. She is labeled on her bottom with ONLY “c1963 MATTEL, INC” – “6” is the number on the other side. Her HAIR is thick, in its original style with the red ribbons on either side; the elastics seem okay but they may have deteriorated by now if handled now. She has even FACIAL color, a bit darker tone than the rest of her, with no paling spots or rubs on features BUT her lip color is a whitish color tone as you see in my pictures and her freckles may not be as-bright as-new; and her neck firmly turns as it should with no splits. Her TORSO has no playwear surface rubs-scratches and her WAIST was not made to turn. Her ARMS hold a fairly firm pose, the left one is a bit firmer than the right side, and her LEGS are tight with knees that do not bend – there is a red line and a smaller, lighter one above it across the back of her left knee. All her fingers-and-toes are accounted for with no polish on them. She was purchased by me many years ago and she was wearing her 2-pc. red, cotton SWIMSUIT that is in good condition with one tiny snag on the back of one side; the waist band is somewhat stretched and not as-white as-new with the small spot on its bottom edge where is bunches-up and has a loose thread there. The red, plastic SHOES are both labeled JAPAN and they seem a bit large for her so, maybe, belong to Skipper; and they shows some wear on them. As you read, the doll shows very little handling on her and her accessories are generally fine. The STAND will come with her and it shows areas of tarnish here-there on it and the BOOKLET is in good condition. I welcome questions if more info is needed.
